It’s more of a self-contained place as opposed to other servers that have a ton of connected realms and CRZ in open world. You see people from other servers sometimes but it’s not all the time. WoW is a decent game for sake of a game to play, it’s not/never going to be an amazing or complex story, and honestly it’s more transparent than a Disney Marvel movie (not to mention potentially copied, thanks Danuser) and when it comes to actual game play your mileage will vary based on what class/spec you play.The alpha will be released on 8 september. This will give you the widest selections of guilds to join, and the healthiest auction house, and there are really no negatives. Population is definitely low, however a single character can learn all professions in the game (blacksmithing, alchemy, skinning, etc.) instead of having a cap.Having everyone on a realm be your faction means ALOT more players. Whereas the 50/50 split could make a big realm feel like a low pop one. I'm not sure of the status of the big pvp realms but I'm pretty sure the top ones like sargeras, Illidan and tichondrius are all weighted one way or the other as well.(again pvpers can chime in here)Dalaran wow has outdated inferior scripts and low pop, while Cromiecraft is still in its lvling phase (they release 10 by 10 lvls every few months or so) with sub 1k pop at best and by now is considered a meme in the community. Other servers like old sunwells and whitemanes realms are empty. .
